In keeping with recent events and in response to requests from TG customers, on November 6, 2001, TG will present a teleconference focusing on two topics related to the September 11 attacks: Disaster Guidance pertaining to higher education and Business Recovery and Continuation. The conference, one of TG's Quarterly Telephone Conferences for Financial Aid Partners from Relationship Management and Consulting, will be held from 2-4 p.m. Central.

Disaster Guidance
At 2 p.m., Brent Hay and Kelly Kaelin from TG's Policy and Regulatory Affairs will present information about the disaster guidance recently distributed by the Department of Education. Topics will include military mobilization, return of Title IV funds, loan repayment, and any other issues that may evolve as repercussions of the disaster unfold within higher education.

Business Recovery and Continuation
At 3 p.m., Jim Johnson, Information Risk Manager overseeing Business Contingency Planning and Information Security at TG, will present the outline of a Business Continuation Plan and discuss technology and security issues for such a plan. Mr. Johnson is President of the Capital of Texas Association of Contingency Planners and has been certified in Business Continuity Planning since 1992.

Following Mr. Johnson's presentation, Bob Lawson from The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio (UTHSC) will share details of UTHSC's recently completed plan and discuss the process of developing such a plan in a financial aid office.
